2014 Parent Watch Week - Food Drive
Wow- We broke our record!! 171 items were donated this week for the Wellington Food Bank. Our record was 156 items donated in November 2012.
Our dance families have gone above and beyond this year! WOW- WOW- WOW. Thank you for making our Parent Watch Week a HUGE SUCCESS!
What is parent watch week? It's a great chance for dance families to come to the studio and watch their dancers during a regular class. We like to use this opportunity to raise awareness of the Wellington Food Bank and the need in the community. Admission to watch class is a donation to the Food Bank. We hold this Parent Watch Week/Food Bank Week twice a year - once in the Fall and again in the Spring.

November 2014 Updates
We are cruising right into November and we have a busy couple of Months ahead of us.
Next week, Nov. 10-14: Parent Watch Week/Wellington Food Bank Week. During watch week parents/grandparents are invited to come watch classes as the learn/work on their Christmas routines - Admission is a donation (Food or $) to the Wellington Food Bank. Space in the lobby is very limited and any talking or movement is very distracting to the dancers and the teacher. Thank you in advance for coming and enjoying our FUN week.
Holiday Schedule:
Studio Closed: Nov. 26 & 27 Thanksgiving Break
Studio Closed: Dec. 22- Jan 2: Christmas Break

Christmas/Holiday Performance: Dec. 6. @ Wellington Holiday Open House (Memorial Auditorium) Afternoon Time frame- TBA.
As mentioned in a previous email- our classes have the option to perform at this new event, and we've started working on the dances this week! If your dancer will not be able to perform (which is fine!) please let Michelle or your teacher know, so we can plan accordingly. We will send out more information on the songs next week. There are no costumes to buy, or extra expenses with this performance. It will be a fun day and Santa will be there!
Tuition Fees and Costume Fees: Please remember that Tuition Fees are due by Nov. 15 to avoid late charges.
Costumes fees are also due- half now and half in December. You dancer's Full Costume payment must be paid by Dec. 15. We cannot order a costume if you fee is not paid.
Costume Orders and Measurements:
We will take dancer's measurement in Dec. during class time and will place the orders over Christmas Break. If you have any NEW dancers that want to join- get them to join now so we guarantee their costume will be ordered with the rest of the class! Late costume orders may have additional shipping/rush charges, or may not be available in time! Thank you!

October 2014 Updates
October 2013 Studio Updates
Classes are going great and we are thrilled with the amazing progress of our past dancers and the excitement of our new dancers. We are very excited for the upcoming season!
A reminder to check your email for the latest studio updates.
The upcoming calendar of events will also be listed in your tuition envelope at the studio. The details of the events will be sent via email. It is the parent's responsibility to stay informed, and keep the studio aware of any changes to your email address, phone numbers, or other contact information.
Good Attendance is critical for a successful dance year.
One students absences or tardiness will effect the entire class. As long as your child is healthy, it is best that they do not miss class.
We have set our Spring Recital date for Saturday, May 3 at Wellington High School.
Required dress rehearsal is at 10 am that day, and the the show will begin at 6:00 PM. There will be a $20 recital fee (per dancer) due with Feb. tuition. Participation in the recital is voluntary, but it really does give the dancer his or her moment to shine.
PAYMENTS & STUFF:Tuition Payments Are Due Any account not paid by the end of the night on the 15th will have $10 late fee added to their account. You can pay online following the links below!
Talent on Parade Dance Directive (Master Class) Nov. 2 @ Wichita Hyatt (Flier attached!) We will be registering for this even on Oct. 16. (Open to all dancers. Not just ShowTeam students.) All money is Due to Michelle by the end of the day on Oct. 15.While is it parent's responsibility to get kids to/from the event- Miss Michelle and Miss Kalyna will be there- taking classes, attending meetings, checking on our dancers, and of course dancing! If you will be dropping off your kids- please make sure you are accessible incase of an emergency! ;)

UPCOMING EVENTS:Halloween Costume Week: October 27-30Dancers can wear their Halloween costumes to class. Proper dance footwear is required and dancers should be able to move freely in their costume! Parents are welcome to come for the last 5 minutes of class to snap a class picture! Bring a Friend Week! This week Oct. 13-16, is bring a friend to class week. All students bringing friends will be entered into a drawing for movie tickets to the Regent! See the attached sheet for more information.
NEW ADULT DANCE CLASS Starts Oct. 20! Registration form is attached. Contact Michelle with questions or to get registered! Dance Frenzy with Kalyna (Ages 18+) $50 SessionMonday and Wednesday 8:00 pm - 9:00 pmGet up and MOVE with a high energy class full of fun dance combinations. From hip hop and jazz to some latin flair, this class has it all! Class is designed for dancers and non-dancers and is a great way to groove into a NEW routine! Recommended Attire: Comfortable athletic wear and clean tennis shoes. Bring a water bottle and a towel!
